    Malindi
    Malindi is a coastal town in Kenya, 120 km north of Mombasa. It has around 120 thousand inhabitants. It is known as a popular tourist resort, particularly among Italians. Nearby are the Gede ruins and the Watamu and Malindi Marine national parks. The town's history goes back to the 14th century, when it grew wealthy on the slave trade. Vasco da Gama stopped in Malindi on his way to India. The climate is tropical, with temperatures between 25 and 30°C, and the best time to visit is the dry months.
