Cape Town
Cape Town is the oldest city in South Africa, set on Table Bay at the foot of Table Mountain. It is the country's legislative capital and home to around 4 million people, among them Coloured, white, black African and Asian communities. The city draws visitors with its history, including the Castle of Good Hope, and with its natural beauty. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and warm summers. The best time to visit runs from October to April, when the weather favours sightseeing.
